Marine Technologies, Inc. Introduces Marine Smoke Alarm with Alarm Mute

(Volo, IL – November 1, 2000) Marine Technologies, Inc. (MTI) has introduced a Marine Smoke Alarm that features an Alarm Mute button with automatic reset. It is UL listed and meets the US Coast Guard standard for Marine use.
The MTI Smoke Alarm with Alarm Mute keeps boaters safe, but allows them to cook in their galleys and silence a nuisance alarm with the push of a button. “Until now boaters had no choice but to pull the battery to silence the alarm when you burnt toast. Now all you need to do is push the mute button,” said Tom Wisniewski, president of Marine Technologies, Inc.
The MTI Smoke Alarm Model SA668M allows boaters to mute the alarm for ten minutes. However, the smoke alarm is still operational and if the smoke level continues to increase, the unit will again immediately sound a warning, giving the boater continuous protection while cooking.
“This alarm is great for the boater, because it’s easy to install, it offers 24 hour protection and best of all, with Alarm Mute, it discourages removal of the battery,” said Wisniewski.
The Marine Technologies Smoke Alarm Model SA668M, with a suggested retail price of $14.95, features 24 hour continuous protection, requires no wiring for installation, has Coast Guard approval for use on boats and carries a five year warranty.
Marine Technologies, Inc. offers a full line of safety and security products for boating enthusiasts, including the Carbon Monoxide Alarm, Gasoline Fume Detector, Fume, Fire and Flood Detector and the Intruder Alarm. Marine Technologies’ products are available at a variety of marine dealers and retail
